Daily Nourishment for February 8, 2024: “More Healing” with Sarah L. Sanderson, Calming Music, and More
Daily Nourishment Read Time: 35 seconds
Pause/Prompt/Practice Time: 10-15 minutes
Move toward healing.
Pause.
Take a minute or two to relax. Use a heating pad or heated stone if you can, or listen to some calming music.
Prompt.
In many cultures, stones are used for healing. Hot stone massage originated in China, and it has also been used in Africa, India, and the Americas.
Think about a time when you were warm and relaxed. Set a timer for eight minutes and write about that experience.
Practice.
Healing comes in all kinds of ways. Often, we can choose whether to cooperate with our healing or work against it.
Notice the ways you are being invited into healing today—whether through rest, laughter, conversation, solitude, community, intentionality, curiosity, or any other way.
Choose to cooperate with healing if you can. Write about these experiences when you get a chance.
Want More?
Read about hot stone massage. Consider scheduling a massage, or another type of healing experience, for yourself.
