A Few More Days in Winston-Salem and Too Many Chapters for the Spiritual Direction for Writers Book

Well. I ended up staying in Winston-Salem for a few more days because Brady has a playoff game on Saturday and I thought it would be good to not drive to Birmingham and back to North Carolina and back to Birmingham again in the span of a week.

I ventured out of the hotel today and found a lovely place to write and eat and drink.

Many thanks to Willows Bistro for letting me camp out at your bar with a delicious Caesar salad, a pile of sweet potato fries, and a couple of delicious Old Fashions (one with Cheerwine, one without) while I finished going through all of my notes and shitty first drafts to compile lists of chapters for the three (FANTASTIC) sections for the Spiritual Direction for Writers book.

Now I will walk back to the hotel and think about something else for an hour or two. Maybe I’ll go for a longer walk because it is GORGEOUS here today.

Then I’ll begin the process of trying to decide which chapters can stay and which ones need to leave.

Prayers, light, good vibes, etc. appreciated.
