A Big Day

A few weeks ago I was talking to a friend about the Spiritual Direction for Writers book and how the book writing process this time around is so different from my process for writing The Great Belonging.

During our conversation, I told her my next big goal was to have all of the lists of chapter titles/chapter ideas for the three (FANTASTIC) sections of the book by the end of this month.

So.

Today is February 16th, and as of today (during the 3:30 p.m. CT SDW Co-Writing Session, to be exact) I have the chapter lists for all three (FANTASTIC) sections of the book.

I win.

The book’s three parts and the chapter lists are secrets for now, although a handful of people have seen the details.

I’m so glad to be at this point, and I look forward to moving closer toward having a complete first full draft of the entire book. My next step is pulling together all of the words I’ve already written for these chapters into one big fat Google document. Then the magic will continue with revision, revision, revision. How glorious.

Cheers to meeting arbitrary self-imposed deadlines.
