Take six deep breaths with a six-count inhale and a six-count exhale.
Prompt.
Read “A Psalm of Life” by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.

Practice.
Read “A Psalm of Life” one more time.
Make a list of 10 words from the poem that have energy for you right now.
Copy down five lines that are interesting to you for some reason.
Sit with your lists for a few minutes and take notes of observations and anything that comes to mind.
Then write a response to the poem or freewrite for seven minutes.
