Pause/Prompt/Practice Time: 10-15 minutes
Develop a better vocabulary to help you tune into your body, mind, and soul.
Pause.
Take six deep breaths with a six-count inhale and a six-count exhale. Then give your attention to your body. Where do you notice imbalance, pain, tension, energy?
Prompt.
Read this IG post from Aundi Kolber and her list for developing a Somatic Vocabulary for yourself (AND your writing!).
Practice.
Which words from the list help you accurately describe how you feel now or in the recent past?
Which words from the list work well for a current work-in-progress?
Which words make you curious? Which words feel familiar to you?
Journal, take notes, or make lists for 5-7 minutes.
