Pause/Prompt/Practice Time: 12 minutes

Pause.
Read the short poem “Asking the Way” by Ko Un. Read it again, more slowly. Read it once more, this time out loud.
Prompt.
Set a timer for 10 minutes. Freewrite a list of questions to ask instead of asking “what god is,” as the poet suggests. Get as abstract or specific as you like.
Practice.
Pick a question that is currently haunting you. Hold the question during your daily times of prayer, meditation, or reflection. Notice where the question leads you.
