Read (or reread) this Instagram post by Cole Arthur Riley. Make sure you read all of the slides!

Prompt.

Write down this quote by Zora Neale Hurston: “There are years that ask questions and years that answer.”

If you like, copy it a few times into your notebook or journal.

Set a timer for three minutes and sit with this sentence in silence.

Then take notes on 2023. Was it a year of questions or answers? Why? How?

Practice.

Use one of the breath prayers from the Instagram post. Do a few rounds of the breath prayer/breath meditation using words Cole Arthur Riley has provided for the inhale and exhale.

Then write your own breath prayer for a new year. What do you want to receive? What do you want to release?

Choose your words or phrases and do a few rounds of inhales and exhales.
